HNS Geometry-2D
program system supporting two-dimension
measurements for profile projectors and measuring microscopes
The program can be used for repeated and complex measurements,
checking of size, form and position parameters, made by
profile-projectors and measuring microscopes. HNS GEOMETRY-2D program
ensures possibility for measurement of complex profiles quickly and
easily supported by computer.
Advantages of using the program
In case of certain parts, it is not possible to make regular manual
measurements because of the size, kind or complexity of the part -
measurement of miniature parts, measuring in closed space, for
example lamps, flexible parts, etc. -. In these cases, usually only
touch-free measurements can be performed. In generally, only the
simple measurements of lengths, and checking of the parts by
patterns are performed touch-freely by profile-projector or
measuring microscope, because the evaluating of complex geometries
requires heavy calculation capacity.
HNS Geometry-2D program makes the measurements by touching points
defined in coordinate system. User can assign the touching points of
the part to be measured, and configure the evaluating of the
touching points optionally, which is stored in a measuring program.
Measuring of parts means running of the measuring programs made
previously. In the course of the program's running, the touching
points of the part are displayed one after the other, then, after
reading-in the touching points, the results of the evaluating are
displayed.
HNS Geometry-2D program supports complex two dimension measurements.
Because of the previously created measuring programs, it is much
easier and faster to perform the measurements - very complex
measurements can be performed by operator-level staffs. The
efficiency of the measurement will be much higher, because
measurements are evaluated immediately and automatically.
Main features of the program
The program system ensures all kinds of support for planning the
measurement of several parts and evaluation of measured coordinate
data, for making the measuring programs, for checking the
calculations recorded in the measuring program, and for daily using
of the measuring programs.
- planning the measurement and appointing the touching points
on the basis of the specifications of the drawn,
- planning the system and the order of the touching points,
- creating the picture of the measured part's shape,
- creating the measuring program,
- checking the measuring program with prepared measured values
- coordinate data,
- control the measurements and geometric evaluation of the
measuring points,
- forwarding the measured and calculated data to the HNS SPC program,
- printing measuring certificate at the end of the measurement.
HNS Geometry-2D program system consists of more functionally
separated program modules. The modular structure allow of installing
the program for different levels of users specially. On the
engineer's workstations, there are available the functions which are
needed for making and checking the measuring programs. On the
operator's workstations - installed next to the producing machine or
in the measuring laboratory -, it is enough to install the measuring module
of the program.
The program receive the measured data of Mitutoyo Digimatic gauges
through a Mitutoyo and HNS multiplexer or from the RS232C interface
of the measuring projector directly.

- linear sizes of the basic geometrical parameters,
- points,
- centre of gravity,
- intersection of two lines or intersection of a line and a
circle nearest to a given pont,
- centre of a circle,
- lines,
- line defined by points,
- parallel lines,
- line going through a given point and closing a given angle
with a given line,
- bisector between two lines,
- line parallel with a line with given distance from it toward
a given point,
- line going through a given point and parallel with a line,
- circles,
- circle which can drawn into a hole and which can be drawn
around a pin,
- circle given by series of points,
- circle with a given radius around a given point,
- distances,
- distance of two points,
- distance of a line and a point,
- radius of a circle,
- angles,
- position errors,
- deviation of parallelity,
- deviation of a circle centre point and an intersection point
of two lines,
- deviation of circularity,
- position error,
- shape errors,
- unlinearity,
- uncircularity.
Important functions with the geometric objects in the program:
- value settings,
- mathematical operations,
- selecting of maximum or minimum value,
- iteration with changeable parameters,
- comparison, qualification of the measured parameters by the
specification given on the drawn.
