SPC in the education

The well-qualified specialists with high-level of knowledge and experience have a very important part in the operating of the statistical process control systems. The specialists can perform their tasks more easily and with more efficiency by the modern informatics tools, but the human knowledge and experience is needed at all times.

Technical experience can be had only with working certain time in real production environment, but the theoretical and some practical knowledge can be learn also in the school for the future specialists.

It is important for the students to learn instead of the old methods up-to-date knowledges and tools, which are used their future workplace. The theoretical bases of the SPC-method did not change or changed only in a small compass lately, however the applied tools have been developed in the highest degree: we got from the manual control charts to the computer programs which manage all the functions occur in the SPC systems and are improved with new functions from time to time.

It is not possible to know the students all of the available SPC software, but it is important to understand, how can be and have to be applied theoretical knowledges in the everyday practice. It is recommended to choose an SPC program, which is used by a wide range of the companies, and which is easy-to-use, user-friendly, so the students can understand it easily.

We support the SPC education of the schools prominently, through the wide range of the following services.

We select and deliver the hardware, the software and the measuring gauges of the school's SPC laboratory and install the system. The informatics tools are selected with the informatics specialists together. At the selecting the measuring gauges, we consider the extant tools and the development plans of the school. We support the adaptation of the solutions and measuring gauges, wherewith the qualified specialists may meet in production environment.

Probably, the companies, supporting the school, will be the primary employers of the qualified students. We build up SPC database and measuring programs, basing on some of the typical product of the supporting company, and the measuring gauges of the practice laboratory of the school. In this system, we make the possibility for performing the measurements and checking, for the direct data input from gauges and for making the analysises and evaluations, i.e. for all of the functions, which are the part of a practical SPC system. Through the performing the measuring programs - sampling, recording the measured data and analysing the control charts -, the students can know during several practical lessons the measuring environment of an SPC system of a cutting or a die-casting plant or of a plant making electronic parts.

We offer up-to-date knowledge for the technical teachers within engineer-level (SPC theoretical and practice of software-usage) trainings. We demonstrate the practical usage of the SPC, the functions used in the production, for the students within the confines of lesson - optionally with the technical teachers together.

To learn all of the functions of the HNS SPC program, users are supported with detailed documentations and on-line help. The part of this documentation is a tutorial, which presents the basic functions (building the database, creating measuring programs, analysing the data) step-by-step. With using this tutorial, the mentioned functions can be learned and practiced quickly and easily.
