HNS SMUX and USBMUX Digimatic Interfaces
The HNS SMUX and USBMUX interfaces allow the connection of Mitutoyo Digimatic
and other Digimatic compatible gauges to the computer. The interfaces can be
connected to RS232 or USB port of the computer, and 1 or 4 or 8 gauges with
Digimatic output can be connected together.

We are searching for OEM suppliers. We offer for them technical support
and special construction for developing and distributing of their own applications - do not hesitate to

Main features of the interfaces
- 1, 4 and 8 channels (1, 4 or 8 Digimatic gauges can be connected),
- easy installation (HNS SMUX-4 connected to the COM port, so it is installation free),
- external power supply is not needed (USBMUX-4 can be used with external power supply),
- easy-to-use, compact design,
- movable and fixable variants,
- design with metal case for using in hard industrial environment,
- data input can be made with pressing the DATA button of the measuring gauge or the foot switch
connected directly to the multiplexer,
- public communications protocol, simple message formats.

The driver of interface makes a virtual COM port in the course of the installation. After installation, the interface is usable as a simple
serial device.
Interfaces has a simple, public communication protocol. The description of the protocol can be found and
download among the references on the right side.
Foot switch can be connected to the multiplexer through a 3,5mm Jack-socket.
